Gallagher has announced that Adelaine Orpin, Director of Sales – West, has been recognised as part of the 2023 honouree list for the SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 (SIA WISF Power 100).

This initiative honours 100 women in the security industry each year who are role models for actively advancing diversity, inclusion, innovation and leadership in the community.

Adelaine has risen in the ranks from Business Development Manager to Director of Sales – West in record time and among her many achievements – such as building new business relationships and expanding Gallagher’s presence in the West – she’s been included in the SIA WISF Power 100 due to her commitment to building a diverse team and cultivating an environment of open communication.

“Diversity of thought has been front of mind as I have nearly doubled my team in the past fiscal year,” Adelaine said. “I admire and honour the uniqueness of each individual and the differing perspectives they bring forward.

“Age, sex, and ethnicity are often the primary traits that come to mind when we think of diversity, but it’s important to also consider upbringing, education, and spirit.”

In her time as Director of Sales, Adelaine has created regular Leaders of People sessions to nurture individual leadership skills and openly share resources and development opportunities among her team, spotlighted new employee retention efforts, revamped the interview processes to attract top talent, leveraged third party partnerships for growth and cultivated an environment that encourages open and honest dialogue among her team.

“Adelaine has shown many people within the industry – myself included – to never stop dreaming big within a male-dominated field,” reflects Jessica Heflin, Marketing Assistant at Gallagher. “When many men fill executive and director positions, it isn’t easy to see yourself there. With Adelaine as a wonderful example of a woman rocking at her job, it’s no longer a dream, but a goal within reach.”

“I want to create an ecosystem founded on authenticity, powered by knowledge, and backed by heart,” Adelaine explains. “Curiosity, vulnerability, and humility are traits I strongly encourage within my team.”

Executive Vice President – the Americas, Scott Elliott calls Adelaine “an elemental and gravitational force of nature with the potential to positively change the world,” adding that “Gallagher and the security industry is truly blessed to have Addie and I have no doubt that she will accomplish anything she sets her heart and mind to.”

On March 31 at ISC West 2023, the SIA Women in Security Forum will host a networking breakfast and Power 100 celebration recognising this year’s Power 100 honourees. At this free event sponsored by dormakaba, attendees will connect with other leaders and champions for diversity and help SIA recognise and celebrate the 2023 honourees of the Power 100 program.

“The 2023 Power 100 honourees are an inspiration to all of us in the security industry. These 100 women leaders are breaking barriers, shifting expectations and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion while taking our industry to new heights,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we congratulate this year’s outstanding class of honourees and thank them for their invaluable contributions to the security industry as well as their leadership, innovation and advocacy.”
