HID, alongside its partner, security systems integrator FMC Research Solutions, has congratulated the Philippine government’s Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for winning the Best New Digital ID Card 2024 Award for the Philippines mobile national ID at High Security Printing (HSP) Conference Asia 2024.
This award recognises the creation of the first ISO-compliant digital government platform in Asia delivering convenient access to government services for Philippine citizens residing at home or abroad.
HID’s goID software development kit (SDK) was integrated into the Philippine’s eGovPH mobile application to enable interoperability via ISO standardisation.
The eGovPH app functions as a one-stop digital platform for Filipinos to securely store and access their government-issued IDs, and perform essential government transactions such as tax payments, social security and healthcare services.
With ISO compliance, mobile national IDs issued through eGovPH are internationally usable, underscoring the Philippines’ commitment to become a leader in digital identity for its citizens.
“Winning the HSP Asia Award for our work with the Philippine government is an honour,” said Craig Sandness, Senior Vice President and Head of Secure Issuance and Citizen ID Solutions at HID. “This award reflects our dedication to empowering governments with secure and innovative solutions that enable greater trust, inclusion, and efficiency in public service delivery.”
The HSP Asia Awards celebrate exceptional achievements in the fields of high-security printing, identity management and secure document solutions across Asia.
HID believes their recognition underscores their unwavering commitment to driving innovation in identity management and supporting governments worldwide in their quest to enhance citizen services.
