Clovis Police Department powering real-time intelligence with RGB Spectrum

RGB Spectrum

RGB Spectrum has announced the successful deployment of its advanced audiovisual technology at the new Real Time Information Center (RTIC) for the Clovis Police Department, located in Clovis, California.

This next-generation RTIC integrates real-time data from citywide cameras, license plate readers, drone feeds, dispatch systems and body-worn cameras to provide a single, unified view of public safety operations.

With a lean force of approximately 130 sworn officers and a total staff of about 230 employees, Clovis PD is setting a national example of how smaller departments can leverage cutting-edge technology to dramatically enhance situational awareness, accelerate emergency response, and improve officer and community safety.

“We’re not just solving for today’s challenges — we’re setting the foundation for tomorrow’s public safety technology,” said Chief Fleming, Clovis Police Department.

The RGB Spectrum Solution

At the heart of the RTIC is RGB Spectrum’s Zio AV-over-IP platform and XtendPoint KVM-over-IP system:

  • Mission-Critical Visualization: A Zio 4000 video wall processor powers a 14’ × 5.6’ Barco TruePix LED video wall, enabling real-time display of video, maps, drone feeds, dispatch data, and analytics from across the city.
  • Seamless ControlXtendPoint allows operators to control up to eight independent systems from a single keyboard and mouse across dual 43” 4K curved displays—streamlining workflows and boosting productivity.
  • Future-Ready Architecture: The IP-based design supports live drone video, body-worn camera integration, and expansion to mobile command trailers, remote field units, and emergency operations centres.
  • Interagency Collaboration: Secure video sharing portals provide live situational data to Fire, EMS, neighbouring jurisdictions, and even City Council members during major incidents.

“What sold me on RGB was how effortless it was for everyone to manipulate the screen and display what they needed—everyone had access, and it just worked,” added Chief Fleming.

Executed by Wildfire Technology

As system integrator, Wildfire Technology delivered end-to-end execution—from planning and vendor coordination to installation, training, and ongoing support—all completed in under 30 days.

“Everything was clean, professional, and ahead of schedule,” Chief Fleming stated. “Their team cared about the space like it was their own. That kind of integrity is rare.”

Why It Matters

The Clovis PD RTIC has transformed how the department gathers, visualizes, and acts on critical data—delivering faster response times, enhanced safety for officers and the public, and unprecedented visibility for city leaders.

“If something doesn’t work, we’ll say so,” concluded Chief Fleming. “But RGB Spectrum’s real-time visualisation system is absolutely working for us—and we rely on it every day.”
