iLOQ has signed a five-year blanket purchase order contract with CERN for the supply of a battery-free and wireless digital access management solution.
The system will enable secure, traceable, and energy-efficient access management across CERN’s sites and technical areas. With kinetic energy generated by the insertion of iLOQ’s digital key, the solution requires no batteries or wiring, simplifying both installation and maintenance and ensuring reliability.
Through iLOQ’s centralised management software, authorised users will be able to update their digital keys via smartphone, ensuring up-to-date access rights while maintaining full control and security over CERN’s facilities.
The contract covers the delivery of smart cylinders, keys, programming equipment, software, and related services such as maintenance and training of CERN personnel.
“We’re proud to partner with CERN, one of the world’s leading scientific institutions,” President and CEO of iLOQ, Heikki Hiltunen stated. “This collaboration reflects iLOQ’s commitment to innovation and sustainable security.
“We both share the desire to drive technology and humanity in a direction for good. By equipping over 2,500 doors with our digital locking solution, we help ensure security and reliability in one of the most demanding environments, while not affecting the daily work of the site.”
