As we welcome new Vendor Member OpenEye, VP of International Sales, Neil Killick, tells us about the company’s latest innovations, including AI Visual Check and AI Visual Search and what these new tools will mean for its customers.
How do your solutions stand out against competitors?

What is a key focus for your company today?
NK: “Today’s businesses are trying to access AI innovations; however, many lack the infrastructure or hardware to do so. Because of this, OpenEye has made it easy for organisations with legacy systems to leverage cloud and AI capabilities without undergoing a complete system overhaul.
“This is accomplished through the open platform, which integrates with third-party software and hardware. For businesses with previously installed camera systems, OWS enables AI video analytics directly on the server itself, in turn upgrading these devices without replacing them.”
Do you have any exciting developments on the horizon?
NK: “Two exciting developments we have are AI Visual Check and AI Visual Search. These new features offer a powerful way to automate operations and streamline investigations, respectively.
“AI Visual Check reduces manual walkthroughs by enabling platform users to set custom alerts for a variety of unique use cases, such as checking whether floor mats have been placed near entrances prior to a location’s opening. AI Visual Search uses natural-language queries, such as “A person carrying a box in the lobby yesterday afternoon,” and quickly surfaces the most relevant results across cameras.
“These two advanced features equip businesses with AI capabilities available on the server itself, significantly enhancing existing system hardware and unlocking new operational optimisations to drive greater revenue.”
