Security technology manufacturer Paxton has secured a place in the top 126 Big Companies included in this year’s The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, continuing a track record of recognition that dates back to 2018.
The list celebrates organisations that demonstrate excellence in employee engagement, workplace culture and wellbeing. Accreditation is based entirely on anonymous employee feedback gathered in partnership with employee engagement experts, WorkL.
Nicola O’Donnell, Paxton’s Chief People Officer, said: “We are thrilled to be able to share that once again, we have been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK. To receive this recognition is a fantastic achievement. However, what we value most is that 85% of our employees shared open and honest feedback with us, which is invaluable for our continuous improvement.”
Paxton’s inclusion in the rankings reflects its commitment to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Over the last four decades, the company has built an environment where people feel supported, trusted and able to do their best work, with a strong emphasis on respect and teamwork. This is reflected in employee feedback, with 84% reporting a good relationship with their manager, 81% believing their colleagues go out of their way to help one another, and 81% feeling they are treated with respect.
Alongside a range of wellbeing initiatives and employee benefits, Paxton encourages employees to make a positive impact beyond the workplace. From supporting charities and community projects to taking part in global fundraising initiatives such as the company’s Around the World challenge, employees regularly come together to support causes that matter to them. Paxton has also maintained its carbon neutral status as part of its wider commitment to responsible business practices.
The latest recognition builds on a long-standing commitment to creating a workplace where employees can thrive. As Paxton continues to expand its international presence, maintaining a culture that attracts, develops, and retains talented people remains a key priority.
