The General Department of Protective Security and Emergency at Dubai Police has honoured internal and external partners, along with liaison officers “Police Observers” at clubs and sports facilities across the emirate of Dubai, in recognition of their efforts and fruitful collaboration throughout the past sports season.

The recognition came during a ceremony organised by the department as part of preparations for the upcoming 2026-2027 sports season.

The event was attended by Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Ali Al Ketbi, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency, accompanied by Brigadier Hisham Nasser Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of the General Department for Emergency Affairs; Colonel Mohammed Ali Ahli, Acting Director of the Emergency Department; and a number of officials, liaison officers, and partners.

The event aimed to strengthen coordination and integration among the various entities responsible for securing sports events and matches.

Brig. Obaid Mubarak Ali Al Ketbi commended the partners for their valuable contributions to the success of sporting events and the enhancement of security and safety standards, working in a one-team spirit.

He also praised the ongoing efforts to further develop the security framework for sporting events, in line with Dubai’s standing as a premier destination for hosting major continental and international tournaments.

The Dubai Police ceremony featured a presentation on the key organisational and security preparations for the new season, with a focus on the critical role of liaison officers and sports facility security officers in reinforcing the security system, raising readiness levels, and accelerating communication and coordination among all relevant authorities.
