ASIS International has announced that General (Ret) Tom Middendorp, Chairman, International Military Council on Climate and Security (IMCCS) will be its opening Keynote speaker at its ASIS Europe 2024 event, taking place March, 20 – 22, 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
The IMCCS is a global network of security experts and research institutes from over 40 countries. General (RET) Middendorp was The Netherlands Chief of Defence for five and a half years and spent 38 years serving his country. He will give his keynote on March 21.
Ambassador Julianne Smith, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, will be the for the event, on the March 22. Ambassador Smith assumed her current position in November 2021. She previously served as a Senior Advisor to Secretary Blinken at the Department of State.
As well as these inspiring Keynotes, which will address the intersection of innovation, socio-economic policy, sustainability and resilience, and how this impacts the business environment security professionals operate in, there will be:
