ASIS Europe 2024 – From Risk to Resilience will be hosted in Vienna, Austria on 20-22 March, and organisers are looking forward to the gathering together of hundreds of security practitioners from the world’s leading companies, plus expert advisors and technology innovators, for an intensive few days of learning and networking which awaits the attendees.
The conference programme focuses on enterprise-wide security and the role security plays in supporting business objectives, ASIS Europe organisers say. It has been developed under the guidance of co-chairs Inge Huijbrechts, Global Senior Vice President Sustainability, Security and Corporate Communications, Radisson Hotel Group, and Gavin Henderson, Regional Chief Security Officer, Mastercard.
Huijbrechts comments: “Our world is increasingly complex, our roles reflect that. We manage security strategy, information sharing with our executives and boards, lead teams, tactical implementation, crisis management, and reporting obligations. It’s an extremely demanding mix so I am excited to co-chair the conference at ASIS Europe because I believe it’s exactly the event security professionals need.”
The opening keynote will be given on Thursday, March 21, by General (ret.) Tom Middendorp. He was The Netherlands Chief of Defense for five and a half years and spent 38 years serving his country. He will speak in his current capacity as Chairman of the International Military Council on Climate and Security (IMCCS), sharing hard-hitting insights on the intersection of climate change risk and security concerns.
On Friday, March 22, Ambassador Julianne Smith, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO will take to the stage, exploring the current geopolitical landscape and how it relates to business risk.
According to organisers of the show, ASIS Europe has gone from strength to strength and now is well established as Europe’s critical gathering for established and aspiring security leaders from across the region and beyond.
In total, more than fifty educational sessions will take place across two days, plus community meetups and 12 hours of dedicated networking time to promote peer to peer dialogue and create new partnerships.
Ranging from crisis, critical events and business continuity management to geopolitical risk intelligence and executive protection to video surveillance, cloud based solutions and access control, as well as cybersecurity, drones and background screening, 48 exhibitors will showcase technology and service solutions essential for security leaders facing complex threats.
Over the two conference days, exhibitors will be sharing knowledge, insights and expertise in their fields in 20-minute thought leadership sessions in the Innovation track.
Headline sponsors for the event are Nedap, Genetec and Securitas.
The ASIS Hub will feature subject area community and chapter meetings, speed networking and coaching as well as career advice.
Show passes that give access to the exhibition, the Innovation Track and the ASIS Hub are still available – Leadership passes which include the full education and networking programme, are sold out.
