ASIS International, the world’s largest professional security community, has announced that Lee Pokorski, Head Group Risk & Security, Arcelor Mittal, will be the new conference co-chair for ASIS Europe 2026 – From Risk to Resilience taking place in Antwerp, Belgium next 23-25 March.
Pokorski will take the role alongside continuing co-chair Inge Huijbrechts, Chief Sustainability and Security Officer, Radisson Hotel Group.
A highly accomplished leader known for his strategic and balanced approach to security and risk management, Pokorski has over 37 years of global experience spanning operations, strategic planning, and solution implementation across government agencies, military and private sector.
He commented, “As a regular attendee and past speaker at ASIS Europe, I know how vital this event is to security leaders across Europe and beyond. The combination of knowledge sharing and networking is second to none, so I am honoured to have the opportunity to contribute to the next stage of the event’s development as Co-Chair”.
After exceptionally successful events in recent years, the 2026 edition will continue addressing the most pertinent and challenging issues facing established and aspiring security leaders.
Huijbrechts added, “Constant evolution has been key to the event’s success. Year-on-year we have adapted to the complexities of the global security environment to deliver thought-provoking, informative, and inspirational programmes. Lee’s experience will provide rich expertise and additional perspectives to help us create another outstanding learning and networking experience – and with the event in my hometown of Antwerp, I am sure the many international visitors will enjoy discovering a wonderful city home to the 2nd largest port in Europe, as well”.
ASIS Europe is the flagship event for ASIS International in the region – providing an annual focal point for approximately 3,000 members and 24 Chapters active year-round across the continent.
ASIS’ European Regional Board of Directors Chair Andrew Williams, CPP put the event in organisational context, “Our members work every day to keep organisations, their people, property and information safe – and our Chapters provide local professional networks to support them. ASIS Europe complements this perfectly by allowing us to showcase all the best elements of what this community does during an action-packed few days every year. I am excited to see what Inge and Lee will come up with – and I’m already sure it will be excellent!”
The programme development for ASIS Europe 2026 has started and will be completed with input from the Call for Content, which will be launched in early September.
In the meantime, companies and partners looking for a unique opportunity to engage with senior security professionals and decision-makers in Europe can contact us to explore sponsorship and exhibit opportunities.
