Axis Communications has announced three purpose-built LPR camera kits with AXIS License Plate Verifier preinstalled.
These robust cameras capture license plates, and under optimal conditions other vehicle details – all without the need for external servers.
Designed for slow speed and free-flow traffic, the robust, all-in-one kits capture license plates accurately and reliably, even in challenging lighting conditions.
Under optimal conditions, the cameras can also recognise vehicle type, colour, make and model. Processing takes place on the camera, removing the need for external servers and enabling organisations to deploy a complete LPR solution quickly and efficiently.
The AXIS P3285-LVE Kit License Plate Verifier is designed for slow-speed traffic. Its 2 MP dome camera supports vehicle access control, with allow and block lists managed directly on the camera.
The vandal-resistant kit can be safely installed at lower, accessible heights, making it suitable for entrances, exits and controlled access points.
For free-flow traffic, the AXIS P1485-LE Kit License Plate Verifier uses a robust 2 MP bullet camera to capture license plates reliably.
The AXIS P1486-LE Kit License Plate Verifier adds a 3 MP bullet camera and global shutter technology. This delivers clear, low-distortion images of fast-moving vehicles and enables license plates to be captured across two lanes of free-flow traffic.
