barox has further expanded its 10Gb Ethernet switch range, with the release of the new RY-LGSO38-10 10Gb SFP Light Core Ethernet switch.
The new barox RY-LGSO38-10 19″ 10Gb Ethernet switch is the first in a number of new 10G options due to be released through the course of this year and the company claims it features 10 x 10Gb port capability with a substantial 200Gb backplane, DMS, strong security features and dynamic routing.
In line with barox’s other Layer 3 based, advanced switch options, this unit also includes higher level features, such as OSPFv2/v3 and RIPv1/v2.
Developed by barox in response to international demands for greater bandwidth networks in modern security systems, the new barox RY-LGSO38-10 10Gb Ethernet switch joins the recently released RY-LPITE-442XGME Industrial L2/L3 switch, with management, strong security features and PoE++ 10Gbit SFP ports, in the expanding 10Gb Ethernet switch range, which also includes a number of other 24 port 10Gb options and even a 10Gb media converter.
The barox RY-LGSO38-10’s 10Gb SFP connectivity supports 10Gb across the whole network, while substantial backplanes provide processing power for the most complex, high data load, video networks, with both static and dynamic routing supported.
Extensive device features protect both switch performance and network traffic, including authentication certificate login, 100Mbits – 1000Mbits jumbo frames to ensure camera frames are not lost, and periodic auto camera ‘ping’ to check and report their status.
Cyber security breaches can also be detected and ports automatically shut down, instantly, to neutralise any threat and keep the wider network safe from attack.
“Our latest 10Gb products have already been rolled out within projects across Public Space and Critical National Infrastructure Networks in the UK and beyond,” says Sarah Moss, barox Sales Manager UK & Eire. “Supporting system integrators, the new barox 10Gb range includes an easy-to-use graphical interface and diagnostic tools that give the ability for network switches to act as ‘health centres’ for other devices on the network.”
“We are proud to be expanding our 10Gb switch range with the new RY-LGSO38-10 Ethernet switch,” says Rudolf Rohr, barox Co-founder & Managing partner. “This new addition delivers strengthened cyber security and will continue to provide our expanding customer base with the ultimate peace-of-mind and performance – delivering the best network performance and cyber security between camera and control room across a broad range of applications.
“This advanced range of 10Gb Ethernet switches sets barox apart from other switch manufacturers – establishing barox as the go-to brand for performance and security.”
