Book your space on the ASSA ABLOY Academy free foundations course this week

ASSA ABLOY

The ASSA ABLOY Academy are offering a foundations course on April 20 that is free of charge and is suitable for installers, security managers, lock centres, end users and specifiers. You can sign up here.

The April Foundations Course 2023 is a full-day course and has lots of face-to-face interaction, which covers the majority of standards applicable to door sets, from hinges to door selectors, in simple to understand chunks.

ASSA ABLOY specialists will help you to understand the needs of a door from its location within the building and the use that the door is subject to, while also teaching you how to recognise “Fire Doors”, particularly now that The Constructions Product Regulations dictate the use of fire tested hardware.

In addition, you can learn to understand the escape risks and regulations applicable to public buildings, i.e. non-residential. These standards and their use are explained in detail, ensuring that ASSA ABLOY only specify compliant solutions.

Finally, you can be informed of The Regulatory Reform Order changes to specifiers / installers responsibility as well as the end users, as self assessment escape requirements have become mandatory within the work place.

Course notes will be provided, in the form of “Best Practice Guides”, covering the majority of the standards covered.

If you or your business supply, specify, or install access control / blocking as part of an Access Control system, this course is essential in educating you on minimum performance criteria, and the implication of non-compliant specification.

If you attended a previous course over two years ago, then ASSA ABLOY advise you to please book your place to update your knowledge with the latest information.

The ABLOY Academy is led by ASSA ABLOY Commercial Director, Pat Jefferies.
