Check Point Software has announced the winners of its Ireland Partner Awards, which took place at The Westbury Hotel, Dublin, on the 17th of October 2024.
The awards celebrated the input of Check Point’s affiliate companies and the growing partner community in Ireland.
The Check Point Ireland Partner Awards took place on the evening of the Dublin Cyber Leader Summit. The summit saw leaders from across government, enterprise, and partner organisations convene for discussions on the latest topics and trends to better prepare partners for the challenges that lie ahead for organisations.
The comprehensive agenda notably included talks by Dara Calleary, Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital, and Company Regulation, and Kieran McCorry, CTO of Microsoft Ireland. Attendees were also treated to a keynote presentation by author and ‘The People Hacker’ Jenny Radcliffe. Learning and networking were cornerstones of this successful event.
So far, 2024 has been a turbulent time for Irish organisations when it comes to cyber security. Earlier this year, Check Point Research reported the highest increase in global cyber-attacks seen in the last two years, with Ireland experiencing a sharp rise in incidents.
These attacks, driven by increasing sophistication, have put added pressure on businesses. Alongside these escalating risks, new regulations like NIS2 (which came into effect on the same day as the event) have added further compliance challenges. Fortunately, Check Point’s partners continue to effectively support and guide customers in these times of change.
The Ireland Partner Awards provide a platform to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of regional industry leaders in addressing key cyber security challenges that customers face.
The awards commend the dedication, hard work, and successes of key players in the cyber security sector, who are working tirelessly to protect businesses and individuals.
Channel partners are invaluable as an extension of these businesses, helping to build resilience and strengthen cyber security without the need for in-house Security Operations Centres (SOCs).
