Dubai Police has taken a bold step into the future by approving the strategic foresight vision of the General Department of Organisation Protective Security and Emergency (OPSE) 2040.
This vision encompasses various innovative projects and initiatives aimed at achieving the strategic goals of Dubai Police, which focus on enhancing security and safety, promoting community happiness, and fostering innovation in human capabilities.
The future vision was signed by Brigadier Musabbah Saeed Al Ghafli, Director of the General Department of Organisation Protective Security and Emergency, in the presence of Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of the General Department for Organization Security Affairs; Colonel Dr. Expert Hamdan Ahmad Hamdan Al Ghasia, Director of the Future Foresight Centre, Colonel Hisham Nasser Al Suwaidi, Acting Deputy Director of the General Department for Emergency Affairs, along with the directors of subsidiary departments and concerned individuals.
Brig. Al Ghafli emphasised that adopting this foresight plan aligns with Dubai’s vision for the future and its commitment to fostering creativity and innovation. He explained that the plan outlines a comprehensive vision for the department’s security work, detailing priorities, trends, future initiatives, readiness measures, sustainability, and related studies.
Meanwhile, Col. Al Ghasia confirmed that the Future Foresight Centre acts as a strategic partner in developing the vision for achieving pioneering in community policing.
He noted that this vision aligns with the aspirations of future generations and underscores Dubai Police’s commitment to innovation as a driver of sustainable development.
Additionally, Col. Al Ghasia indicated the Centre’s dedication to organising meetings and retreats with various departments and police stations to generate innovative ideas that enhance the policing system in line with government initiatives.
Furthermore, Col. Al Ghasia noted that the vision embodies the concept of future foresight in the security and policing sectors. “It aims to shape future plans and implement projects that align with Dubai Police’s strategic goals. This approach emphasises analysing the current situation, monitoring trends and challenges, and identifying future pathways while empowering youth to contribute to the security and policing system actively,” he continued.
Dubai Police believes that this future vision significantly strengthens their commitment to excellence and innovation and further solidifies its position as a pioneering global force in community policing.
