Dubai Police, in partnership with e& UAE, has introduced the Smart Home Security System, designed to enhance the safety of homes and properties. Using advanced motion sensors, the system detects unusual activities in real time, enhancing public safety and aligning with Dubai’s strategic vision for a secure and happy city.

The unveiling of the Smart Home Security System was witnessed by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer of e& UAE; Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MRHE); His Excellency Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs; Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, Brigadier Hareb Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, along with several senior officials from various departments and police stations. The event coincided with Dubai Police’s participation in “GITEX Global 2024,” held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Proactive Security Measures

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri stated, “This strategic partnership reflects our commitment at Dubai Police to developing our security and technological operations in support of our vision for a safe city and the happiness of society in alignment with the Quality of Life Strategy for Dubai 2033. This partnership bolsters our proactive efforts in crime prevention by uniting the efforts of both the public and private sectors while leveraging the latest smart practices and technologies to build a sustainable, preventative security system that serves national visions and goals across all sectors.”

Smart and Secure Living Environments

Meanwhile, Masood M. Sharif Mahmood said, “Our partnership with Dubai Police is driven by our deep commitment to leveraging advanced technology to enhance the safety and security of the communities we serve. For the first time in the UAE, we are integrating IoT-based home security systems with immediate police response to detected movements. This is a significant step towards transforming residential areas into smart, secure environments. The initiative plays a key role in supporting Dubai’s vision to become the safest city in the world, while enhancing overall quality of life and providing peace of mind for its people and the wider community.”

Cutting-Edge Sensors

The Smart Home Security System features cutting-edge IoT sensors installed on doors and windows to detect unusual activity, complemented by surveillance cameras. These devices are monitored around the clock by security centres managed by e& UAE, ensuring a quick response to any suspicious movements. The system can also be linked directly to a specialised operating room, enabling immediate action to verify any detected irregularities.

Customers will receive alerts via a mobile app when any movement is detected, and they can choose to manage the system themselves or connect it to a specialised operating room.

Those interested in the system can apply via https://homesecurity.dubaipolice.gov.ae , which offers convenient monthly payment plans. For villas equipped with the “Hasantuk for Homes” fire alarm system, customers can add the security sensors at a minimal cost without needing an additional control panel.

With the Smart Home Security system, residents will feel at ease knowing their homes are protected and connected directly to the specialised operating room.

As the technology provider, e& UAE will oversee the entire system, from customer registration to installation, maintenance, and technical support. Dubai Police will ensure integration for customers opting to connect the system to the specialised operations room, ensuring rapid and effective responses.
