Dubai Police recently organised the “Your Voice Is Heard” community event in Al Wuheida, as part of a community initiative led by the General Department of Police Stations.
The initiative aims to strengthen direct communication with members of the public, encourage dialogue, and gather feedback and suggestions on police services.
The event was organised by Dubai Police, represented by the Al Muraqqabat Police Station and the Positive Spirit Council, and forms part of ongoing efforts to engage with citizens, residents, and partners across Dubai. It focuses on listening to the community’s views and enhancing services in line with the highest standards and best practices.
The event was attended by Lt. Col. Majed Issa Redha, Deputy Director of Al Al Muraqqabat Police Station, Ms Fatima Bohjair, Chair of the Positive Spirit Council and Head of the Cultural Diversity Section at the General Department of Community Happiness, Captain Hamed Khalifa Al Marri, Head of the Administrative Affairs Section, along with a number of officers, personnel, the “Your Neighbourhood Police” team, and the “On-the-Go” initiative team. More than 4,000 community members took part in the event.
Lt. Col. Majed Issa Redha said the event reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to engaging with the widest possible segment of society and listening closely to their opinions and feedback. He noted that this direct interaction plays an important role in continuously improving and developing services to better meet public needs.
He added that such initiatives represent an effective communication channel between government entities and service beneficiaries, highlighting that Dubai Police’s role goes beyond providing security services to include ongoing coordination and engagement with other government entities. This approach supports efforts to enhance quality of life across the emirate.
Ms Fatima Bohjair explained that the event was held alongside the Al Wuheida Community Forum organised by the Positive Spirit Council to strengthen community engagement.
She emphasised that these initiatives aim to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence, and constructive dialogue, as well as mutual respect and acceptance. She also highlighted the role of sport as an effective social tool that brings communities together within residential areas.
