European Cybersecurity Blogger Awards 2021 now open for nominations

Nominations for the European Cybersecurity Blogger Awards are now open until 14th May, recognising the best blogs and podcasts in the cybersecurity industry. All blogs, vlogs, podcasts or social media accounts must be focused on information security issues and have a European presence or audience.

Hosted by Eskenzi PR and sponsored by KnowBe4 and Qualys, bloggers, social media personalities and podcasters can now nominate themselves and individuals to be judged by a panel of experts.

Anne Lenoir, events and communications director at Qualys, said: “The COVID crisis has required all professions to adapt and be creative, and bloggers are no exception! We are happy to support this community which highlights the threats the cybersecurity industry faces, and provides advice and commentary to help individuals and organisations better understand the legal, technical and governance concerns they face.”

“This year, despite Infosecurity Europe going back to an in-person event, we’ve got the sense that not everyone will be ready to jump back into crowded venues. So, we’ve decided that the event will be run virtually again this year, hopefully for the last time, and next year we’ll be back at the pub,” said Yvonne Eskenzi, co-founder of Eskenzi PR.  “But the good news is, there will still be cocktails to make – and drink – and there’s no queuing at the bar!”

The categories under which security related blogs, podcasts etc. can be nominated are as follows: ‘Up and Coming Blog,’ ‘Up and Coming Podcast,’ ‘Most Entertaining Content,’ ‘Best Corporate Blog,’ ‘Best Corporate Twitter,’ ‘Best Personal Blog,’ ‘Best Podcast,’ ‘Most Educational Content,’ ‘Best Technical Content,’ ‘Social Media Personalist of the Year.’

The judging panel for the awards includes: Joe Pettit, director at Bora; Yvonne Eskenzi from Eskenzi PR; Quentyn Taylor, director of information security at Canon Europe; Paul Baird, chief security technology officer UK at Qualys; Anne Lenoir, director of corporate comms and events at Qualys; and Javvad Malik and Erich Kron, security awareness advocates at KnowBe4.

The winners will be revealed during a virtual meet-up event on 9th June. Follow the Awards on social media, using the hashtag: #EUSecBloggerAwards21
