Hanwha Techwin announces BICSI video foundation course

Hanwha Techwin is to host an exclusive foundation course from 6th to 9th September entitled ‘Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) recognises Video Foundation Course training for BICSI CEC’s.’

With guest speaker Samuel Kumar, Training Manager, Hanwha Techwin Middle East, the course is designed primarily for designers, consultants and end-users working in security & investigations. New members of the security industry, in particular, will find the course very informative as it will explain the basics of camera selection, vendor analysis, recording solutions to control room design.

Running each day from 11:00AM to 1:15PM (GMT+4), attendees will learn key information from choosing the vendor for projects, selecting the right camera features and types for the application, utilising the analytic function for operational purposes, efficient storage options as well as setting up a video management solution and control room. 

The course overview will consist of the following:

1st day 
Imaging Hardware & technologies
– CMOS, CCD, iris, focal lengths, WDR and field of view

2nd day
Resolution, compression, image settings & camera types 
– Compression standards, shutter speed impact, gain settings, camera types and applications

3rd day 
Analytics, VMS, open protocol & cybersecurity
– Traditional & artificial intelligence analytics, VMS and its functions, cybersecurity basics & ONVIF

4th day
Recorders, storages & control room
– NVR & server recording, storage solutions, RAID options, control room monitor estimation
