IDEMIA have announced that its board of directors elected Erik Maris as chairman of the supervisory board, effective immediately.

Maris has been an IDEMIA board member since 2022 and an advisory partner at Advent International Ltd since November 2020. As a specialist in complex and cross-border transactions, Erik has led more than a hundred operations in his career.

Before joining Advent, Erik co-founded Messier Maris & Associés and spent 19 years at Lazard France. Maris’ appointment follows Yann Delabriere’s resignation from IDEMIA’s supervisory board.

Speaking about the election, Pierre Barrial, IDEMIA Group President and CEO, said: “we are delighted to welcome Erik Maris as Chairman of the Board. We trust that his expertise and strategic guidance will be instrumental for IDEMIA moving forward.

“On behalf of the board members and IDEMIA’s Executive Committee, I want to thank Yann for his service as CEO and then chairman of the board.”
