IFSEC International postponed till May 2022

IFSEC International has announced that its in-person event will return to London’s ExCeL in May 2022.

“We’ve worked tremendously hard along with our venue and contractor partners to deliver an event that is both safe and successful for all involved,” comments Chris Edwards, Group Director at Informa Markets. “However, it’s become clear that with the ongoing international travel disruption and general uncertainty caused by the pandemic, that transitioning to a vibrant online experience that the whole international security community can be part of is the right thing to do.”

The originally scheduled in-person event, set for 12-14 July, will now be dedicated to IFSEC Connect; an immersive online marketplace that will allow attendees to engage with new international suppliers and peers. Exhibitors will also be able to request meetings with IFSEC International Connect 2021 attendees and be able to view best practice and thought-leadership content.

“IFSEC International succeeded in bringing the industry together remotely during 2020 when it was simply impossible to meet face to face,” explains Edwards. “This year, we’ll be building on that success and significantly raising the bar in terms of the content and connections we’ll be delivering for exhibitors and attendees online during IFSEC International Connect 2021.”

As usual, IFSEC International will take place alongside FIREX International (fire safety), Safety & Health Expo, Intelligent Buildings, Workplace Wellbeing Show and Facilities Show (facilities management) where visitors will be able to meet suppliers and organisations, ultimately expanding their networks and security supply chains.

Until then, IFSEC Connect plans to tide security attendees over with a series of tech-based presentations and thought leadership panel discussions focusing on the industry’s hottest topics, such as the future of video surveillance & CCTV, access control, intruder detection and finally, protecting cities.

Edwards concludes: “IFSEC Connect will offer delegates and suppliers the chance to come together online and we look forward to delivering an in-person series of events at a scale our customers are used to seeing in 2022.”
