Inetum and Rubrik partner to boost data security

Inetum has entered a strategic partnership in Belgium with global cyber security company Rubrik.

This collaboration empowers Inetum to expand its security offerings, while Rubrik leverages Inetum’s presence in Belgium to help organisations protect and recover data quickly, ensuring operational continuity and cyber resiliency in the event of a cyber-attack.

Indeed, cyber-attacks have been on the rise in 2024, with a 30% increase in weekly attacks on corporate networks in Q2 2024 and a 35 % increase of cyber-attacks in Europe in Q2 2024 (Check Point Research)

As cybersecurity challenges continue to dominate global headlines, Rubrik’s ability to offer a single solution for data management and protection together with Inetum’s expertise in cybersecurity, positions the two companies as a trusted partner for enterprises across industries.

Partnership to strengthen data protection

This partnership enables both companies to help customers tackling the increasing challenges of ransomware and data breaches, as well as comply with regulations.

Inetum and Rubrik insist that they both offer a comprehensive approach to data protection, ensuring that data is securely backed up and quickly restored in the event of an attack.

Moreover, the partnership with Rubrik complements Inetum’s existing collaboration with Nutanix, which they say is a leader in hybrid multicloud computing.

Given Rubrik’s integration with Nutanix, this strengthens Inetum’s ability to offer integrated solutions for data management and security across multi-cloud environments.

A unified approach to cloud and data protection

“At Inetum, we are already a trusted partner in three key domains: data, cloud, and cybersecurity,” Jo Leemans, Director Technologies at Inetum, said. “Our expertise in multicloud environments, combined with Rubrik’s leading data protection solutions, enables us to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.

“This partnership allows us to bundle our strengths and ensure that our clients are well-equipped to secure and recover their data quickly and effectively.”

“We were seeking a strong partner with deep knowledge in cloud, security, and infrastructure and we found it in Inetum,” added Jan Ursi, Senior Director EMEA Channel Sales, Rubrik. “Together, we bring a comprehensive solution to the market, addressing critical data protection needs with an innovative approach that ensures businesses stay resilient in the face of ongoing cyber threats.”
