Inner Range integrates with Rhombus

Inner Range

Inner Range has announced a two-way integration with Rhombus, offering end users a unified security experience that’s designed to simplifies operations and enhance security.

With so many systems comprising the security ecosystem for any one business, managing them effectively is a challenge – hence the integration.

Inception, Inner Range’s access control and integrated security system, now seamlessly communicates with Rhombus’s intelligent video platform. The companies state that this partnership eliminates silos and provides a single view for managing access control and video security.

The benefits of the partnership

  • Remote door unlock from any device: Manage doors from anywhere, anytime, from any device. The Rhombus console allows users to remotely unlock doors, providing instant convenience and control.
  • Enhanced tracking: Track and manage all door open events, with timestamps and alerts if a door has been left ajar.
  • Better badge monitoring: Receive alerts based on badge usage – if the user of the badge doesn’t match the actual badge holder.
  • Visually verified entry/exit events: Instantly confirm access events with linked video footage in real time. In addition, gain access to historic events for audit trail purposes.
  • Two-way sync for seamless communication: Core access control events from Inception are automatically synced with Rhombus, and actions taken in Rhombus are reflected in Inception.

For professionals in sectors like enterprise, education, retail and healthcare, the companies claim that they’re offering:

  • Reduced complexity: Manage users’ access control and video security from a single, intuitive interface.
  • Faster incident response: Visually verify events and take immediate action.
  • Improved situational awareness: Gain a comprehensive view of a user’s security environment.
  • Enhanced compliance: Maintain detailed audit logs and reports for regulatory compliance.

“Rhombus’s open platform philosophy aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing flexible solutions,” an Inner Range spokesperson said. “This integration is just one example of how we’re empowering organisations to build custom security solutions that meet their unique needs.”
