Collaborating with one of its partners and sharing stand SA HO3 at Intersec 2025, Wavestore will unveil some exciting enhancements to its platform and will be introducing a camera range for its Middle East customers. Here, Managing Director, Mark Claxton, and Middle East Business Development Manager, Mustapha Kabbara tell us more…
What can visitors to your Intersec stand expect to see?
MK: “We’re proud to be collaborating with one of our partners this year. Visitors can explore how Wavestore’s open-platform video management system (VMS), server, and camera range deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end, integrated solution. Our platform is designed with flexibility in mind, and we’ll demonstrate how it integrates seamlessly with a variety of devices and technologies to optimise security operations and deliver actionable insights.
“We’ll be running live demonstrations, introducing our latest IP camera range, and showcasing new features included in our upcoming V6.40 release. These updates are designed to meet the needs of sectors like retail, transport, and critical infrastructure, reflecting the unique challenges faced by businesses in the region.”
Can we expect any announcements from you at the show?
MC: “We’ll be unveiling exciting enhancements to our platform, including an update to our Health Monitor tool. This improvement makes it easier to ensure maximum system uptime and enables quicker issue resolution, reinforcing our commitment to staying ahead in a fast-moving industry.”
MK: “For our customers in the Middle East, we are delighted to announce the introduction of our new camera range, which is fully SIRA-compliant. This addition provides customers with even more options for building bespoke solutions that align with local regulations and expectations.”
Q: What do you feel you are offering that sets you apart from your competitors?
MC: “Wavestore’s core strengths lie in its openness, scalability, and simplicity. Unlike other VMS providers, we empower customers to select the best-in-class technologies that suit their requirements, without locking them into proprietary systems. Our intuitive interface makes managing video data straightforward and effective, providing powerful tools in a user-friendly format.”
MK: “In the Middle East, what really sets us apart is our deep understanding of the local market and our focus on building relationships. We don’t just deliver products; we partner with our clients to address their specific challenges and requirements. This hands-on, collaborative approach, paired with solutions designed to respect regional needs, makes us stand out in a competitive landscape.”
Q: What do you think will be the main drivers for business next year?
MC: “The demand for intelligent, integrated systems that extend beyond traditional security applications will be a key driver. More organisations are looking for solutions that enhance safety while also providing operational and business insights to improve efficiency and decision-making.”
MK: “I’d add that here in the Middle East, large-scale investments in smart cities, critical infrastructure, and high-profile projects will remain significant drivers. The push for sustainable, future-proof technologies will continue to create opportunities for innovation and growth.”
What will be the primary challenges, and what is your strategy to overcome potential hurdles?
MC: “Staying ahead of rapid technological advancements and maintaining seamless integration across complex systems is an ongoing opportunity. We’re tackling this by investing in research and development and expanding our network of technology partners, ensuring that our platform continues to offer unrivalled flexibility.”
MK: “Navigating regional compliance requirements and diverse client needs can also be challenging. However, by deepening our local presence, working closely with regional experts, and tailoring our solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients, we ensure our offering is always relevant and compliant.”
Are there any special considerations or additional support that you offer your clients across the Middle East?
MK: “Absolutely. Providing dedicated, local support is at the heart of our approach in the Middle East. This includes having regional account management and technical support available to offer faster response times and a more personalised service. We also provide tailored training programmes to ensure our clients can maximise the value of their investment in Wavestore solutions.”
MC: “From a global perspective, we’re equally focused on customer-centricity. Whether it’s bespoke solutions, tailored product developments, or Proof of Concept support, we work closely with our partners and customers to help them achieve their goals. At Wavestore, we aim to be much more than just a supplier—we strive to be a trusted partner in every sense.
