ISC West 2024 interview – Genetec

Genetec

Genetec, the innovative technology company with a broad solutions portfolio that encompasses security, intelligence, and operations, is taking a stand at this year’s ISC West show in Las Vegas, where it will showcase its Security Center SaaS. In this exclusive interview, we hear from Vice President of Marketing Andrew Elvish, about what else visitors can expect from the stand…

Why is ISC West an important show for you?

AE: “As the premier security industry event for systems integrators and manufacturers in North America, ISC West provides us with an opportunity to present our latest solutions to a large audience. We’ve also seen increasing attendance from outside of North America, underscoring the show’s significance as a global platform for industry collaboration and innovation.”

What can visitors expect from you at the show? Why should they visit your stand?

AE: “Each year, ISC West provides a great platform for us at Genetec to introduce new solutions to the market. This year is particularly significant as we are introducing Security Center SaaS, our new unified, open security-as-a-service platform. We’ll also showcase a wide range of solutions, including the latest version of our unified security platform, Security Center 5.12, our vehicle-centric investigation system AutoVu Cloudrunner™, and more. ISC represents an excellent opportunity for attendees to experience our solutions in action and explore how they can address their security needs effectively.”

Can we expect any announcements from you at the show?

AE: “Yes, absolutely. We will be announcing the general availability of Security Center SaaS – our brand-new, massively scalable, unified, open security-as-a-service platform.  Built with cybersecurity and privacy at its core, Security Center SaaS brings together access control, video management, intrusion monitoring, automation, forensic search, and many other advanced security capabilities in the cloud. It is offered in tiered subscription plans based on the number of device connections needed.

“It provides channel partners with a new set of tools to help them skillfully build value and move from selling products to services by giving them the flexibility of open systems and the ability to deploy hybrid-cloud solutions with fewer barriers and less overhead. It also equips end users with enterprise-grade capabilities without compromising on a modern, rapid, and seamless experience from start to finish.”

What do you feel you are offering that sets you aside from your competitors?

AE: “Security Center SaaS represents the beginning of a new era in security as a service. Until now, the physical security industry has not been able to get the cloud or software as a service quite right, especially for enterprise customers. Proprietary solutions hold customers hostage, while standalone VSaaS/ACaaS solutions offered by emerging players are too simple to address the complex needs of enterprise organisations.

“Both of these approaches have undercut the role of channel partners – whom we see as vital to delivering value and services.  Thus, we have designed our new offering with a focus on the sustained success and growth of our Channel Partners.  With Security Center SaaS, Genetec has developed a solution that best addresses the evolving needs of end users and helps to close a longstanding gap in the market.”
