Johnson Controls has introduced the fifth generations of both its DSC PowerSeries Neo security system and its IQ Panel.
These latest updates will be displayed at ISC West 2026 in Las Vegas from March 23-27 (Booth #18019) for attendees to experience how Johnson Controls is delivering ease of use, customisation and reliability that today’s end-users expect, while simplifying installations for integrators.
With 38% of recent home security buyers identifying smart home features as a key trigger for purchasing a security system, meeting end-user experience demands is a key priority for the new solutions.
“The launches of PowerSeries Neo 5 and the IQ Panel 5 build on our market-leading security capabilities, introducing upgrades with impact for end-users and dealers,” said Faisal Pandit, president, Building Management Systems, Johnson Controls. “These solutions feature key innovations requested directly by our customers, prompting them to leverage familiar foundations while embracing newer enhancements that will better protect homes and businesses against modern threats.”
DSC PowerSeries Neo 5
Built on DSC’s trusted hybrid foundation, PowerSeries Neo 5 offers dealers one flexible platform that is built to perform today and scale for the future.
The efficiency innovations delivered by PowerSeries Neo 5 may enable customers to save an average of $150 per truck roll and reduce service visit times by 1-3 hours.
The hybrid wired and wireless solutions help increase the speed and quality of installations, revenue per site, and customer satisfaction while lowering operational costs and accommodating various system configurations. Feature updates include:
- Compatibility with PowerG and PowerG + devices that help support secure integration across a broad device sampling and prompts easier panel swaps with a modern interface for faster, simpler, everyday use.
- Customisable installations through flexible enclosures, preassembled kits, and communicators to help dealers with right-size installs across residential, SMB, and commercial verticals.
- Integrations with iTV2, Genetec, Software House, and an open SDK, allowing for expansion with future partners within established security ecosystems and strengthening the solution in commercial spaces.
The next generation of PowerSeries Neo also includes an updated thin bezel touchscreen enhanced by smartphone-like UI that incorporates NFC proximity tag reader functionality, allowing smartphones to be used as access control keycards.
IQ Panel 5
The IQ Panel 5 is a future-ready panel designed to last, delivering enhanced performance with retooled internals based on customer feedback and top-notch SRF modularity for improved flexibility and scalability.
Additionally, updates to the software powering IQ Panel 5 will introduce new functionalities, including AI features and smart device integrations.
Powered by a Qualcomm DragonWing™ processor, benefits of the IQ Panel 5 include:
- PowerG + embedded within, providing next-gen wireless technology for unmatched security and automation.
- Modular efficiency with a mini modular design to reduce SKUs and simplify installations.
- Refined style, featuring an elegant touchscreen, a new 13-megapixel PortraitView camera, improved mounting options, glass-break detector, and an adjustable desk stand design.
- Future-ready features, including being the only security panel available with the Android 14 operating system and a customisable user interface.
