KnowBe4 has released a comprehensive resource kit in support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2025, which aligns with this year’s theme “Secure Our World” and supports the global movement to emphasise the importance of securing our digital lives.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month, established in 2004 through a joint effort by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, provides organisations worldwide an opportunity to strengthen their security culture through education and awareness.

This year’s focus is on simple, effective practices like using strong passwords, enabling non-phishable multifactor authentication(MFA), recognising and reporting phishing attempts, and keeping software up to date.

“Every October, we have this incredible opportunity to reset and refocus on what really matters in cybersecurity – human risk management,” said Erich Kron, security awareness advocate at KnowBe4. “This comprehensive resource kit empowers organisations to build genuine security culture where employees understand not just what to do, but why it matters.

“When we empower employees with knowledge, we are not just protecting data – we are helping to ‘Secure Our World’”.

KnowBe4’s free arcade-themed Cybersecurity Awareness Month kit includes:

  • Four “Arcade Villain” character cards that turn common threats into fun eight-bit enemies
  • Training modules like “Insights From a Hacker” and “AI, Phishing, and Cybersafety” (available in up to 36 languages)
  • Ready-to-use posters and digital signage for an office or virtual workspace
  • A comprehensive Weekly Planner to structure October activities
