Mission 500 announces annual softball game fundraiser

Mission 500 has announced that its annual security industry softball game fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021. This year’s event will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Overpeck County Park. The first game will take place at 9:30 AM and will boast rosters comprised of local firefighters and friends of the Burn Camp. A Home Run Derby will officially kickoff the Security Softball Game at 11:45 AM, which will be held at 199 Challenger Road in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.

All individuals and companies are welcome to attend. Sponsorships are available between $250 and $5,000. Companies contributing more than $1000 will have the option to designate one player to a team and companies contributing more than $2,500 will have the option to designate two, while walk on players/individuals are also welcome for a $250 donation. Participation in the Home Run Derby is a $25 donation. During the softball game, Mission 500 will also host a Care Pack Event for students living in the South Bronx.

This year’s confirmed sponsors include: Altronix, Axis Communications, Beacon Protection, Credo Cyber Security, Dahua, First Response Security, Ken Gould Consulting, LRG Marketing Communications, Napco Starlink, Paige DataCom, Ripple, Security Today, Security Business/SecurityInfoWatch.com, and Zenitel.

“Mission 500 has sustained operations during the pandemic, but the lack of many physical in-person events has made fundraising most difficult over the last 18 months. This year’s annual softball game is an opportunity for friends and families to get together to help children and families in crisis,” said Ken Gould, Mission 500 Chairman and owner, KJG Consulting. “Mission 500 is most appreciative to the individuals and companies that have continued to support this wonderful cause over the years, especially during these challenging times.”

The organisers of the softball event ask all participants to wear masks, be mindful of social distancing and individuals’ personal space. The COVID pandemic is not over, and good judgment is advised for the protection of all individuals partaking in this and all in -person events.
