Finger vein biometrics specialist, Hitachi Europe Limited, and enterprise identity and access management company My1Login have announced a technology partnership to deliver enhanced security solutions to address one of the cybersecurity industry’s most compelling challenges – passwords.
The two companies will deliver solutions utilising Hitachi’s VeinID Five product together with My1Login’s Identity and Access Management software to eliminate the need for passwords in enterprise. Hitachi’s product uses vein recognition to enable users to authenticate with the corporate directory by holding their Finger up to the camera, then My1Login’s IAM software takes this delegated trust and onward authenticates the user with all subsequent access to web and Windows desktop applications without the user entering passwords.
“My1Login has a powerful track record in addressing enterprise Identity and Access Management challenges by providing Single Sign-On for cloud and legacy Windows desktop apps across the widest range of applications,” commented My1Login CEO Mike Newman. “Our customers look to us to constantly raise the security bar, and by leveraging My1Login’s market leading service in collaboration with Hitachi, we see tremendous opportunities as a result of a shared philosophy to deliver security excellence, ease of use and a demonstrable return on investment for our customers”.
“At Hitachi, we work with our partners to create innovative solutions that solve problems and power good in society. Partnering with My1Login to Integrate and deploy VeinID Five with their platform, will help customers to remove passwords from their business and improve the user experience, whilst providing a superior level of security” said Ravi Ahluwalia, General Manager of Hitachi Europe’s Security Business.
