OPTEX to bring award-winning security technologies to The Security Event 2025

OPTEX

OPTEX will be exhibiting at The Security Event to showcase its latest innovations, including the Olarm MAX digital communicator and intrusion detection solutions, through a series of live demonstrations throughout the show.

Olarm MAX is described as a discrete, Graded Dual-Path (DP) digital communicator that can be quickly and easily installed alongside a new and existing alarm panel to make them smart and effectively bring 21st century control to security technologies.

Throughout the event, the team will demonstrate how Olarm MAX, which is compatible with all major alarm brands and manufacturers, can be seamlessly installed and integrated with different alarm panels to show how the system can be conveniently and remotely managed via the user-friendly Olarm app and Command Centre, to manage multiple Olarm units simultaneously.

“Amidst the old Public Switch Telephone Network being phased out, users are obliged to switch to a digital communicator,” Lawrence Peters, OPTEX Head of Sales – UK and Ireland, said. “Olarm MAX provides a simple upgrade solution for both commercial and residential properties that breathes new life into legacy systems and enables new and existing technologies to be managed conveniently and remotely via the Olarm app with a level of user experience second to none.”

Also on stand, the OPTEX high security project zone which will feature its multi award-winning REDSCAN LiDAR series and Fiber SenSys fibre optic sensors, which are both specifically designed to provide highly accurate and reliable detection across the highest security sites, including datacentres, airports, critical infrastructure and more.

Extremely reliable, REDSCAN LiDAR sensors can be mounted horizontally to create high-resolution virtual laser planes to protect roofs and skylights, or vertically to create virtual laser walls to protect narrow spaces and high-value assets.

The latest evolution in fibre optic sensing solutions, EchoPoint Distributed Acoustic Sensors (DAS) utilise intelligent detection algorithms to provide point detection of +/- 6m in a range of up to 100km, with the ability to be operated across multiple applications – installed on fences above ground, buried or in a hybrid layout.

“Throughout the event, we will be demonstrating how our leading portfolio of sensing and detection technologies can be utilised within a multi-layered security system to meet the specific needs of multiple sites and environments,” Peters added.

OPTEX will be joined on stand by RAYTEC, the LED lighting specialist, and an OPTEX Group company who will feature a selection of their products and perform live demo’s integrating its LED lighting with OPTEX’S REDSCAN LiDAR sensors.
