OutPost24 appoints Karl Thedéen as new CEO

Outpost24 has announced its new board of directors has appointed Karl Thedéen as its new Chief Executive Officer. Thedéen brings over 20 years of experience in the software and technology sector, having previously held CEO roles at Edgeware AB and Transmode AB public in 2011 before its acquisition by Infinera.

“From growing the product line of their full-stack security assessment solutions, to securing new investment and expanding internationally, Outpost24 is a high growth, high potential company with a strong foundation,” said Thedéen. “The company has amazing customers and a platform that is well-positioned to transform and adapt to the modern cybersecurity landscape. I’m excited to take on this role and further their mission to help enterprises efficiently protect their corporate assets and meet regulatory requirement.”

As the company celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, Thedéen replaces Martin Henricson, the current CEO of Outpost24, who will remain an active member on the board of directors. In addition, Outpost24 have also opened a new headquarter office in Karlskrona, Sweden, and a new software development centre in Hanoi, Vietnam. This also comes in the wake of a recent funding round in which the company secured a SEK 200 million investment in December 2020.

“In the same token, we must give our utmost thanks to Martin for his tenure over the past five years,” said Peter Larsson, Chairman of the Board, Outpost24. “Through his dedication and commitment, Martin has turned the business into a multi-product company and overseen the successful transition of Outpost24 to a cloud-based SaaS business. We are deeply grateful that he will remain on the board as an advisor.”
