Paxton has partnered once again with Skills for Security, reinforcing its commitment to developing young professionals across the security industry.

As a long-standing supporter of industry training initiatives, the company works closely with Skills for Security to strengthen career pathways and ensure apprentices gain hands-on experience with the latest security technologies.

Through this partnership, learners gain access to high-quality technical knowledge, real-world installation practice, and exposure to new industry developments. This helps prepare the next generation of security engineers for the evolving demands of the sector.

Dan Drayton, Paxton’s Divisional Director of EMEA Sales Region at Paxton, said: “Investing in skills isn’t optional for our industry, it’s essential. We need more confident, capable engineers coming through, and that starts with proper training and real exposure to the technologies they’ll be installing every day.

“Through our continued partnership with Skills for Security, we’re supporting apprentices at the start of their careers and helping build a stronger future for our sector.”

Apprentice Charles Hill recently experienced this first-hand following one of our training sessions. He said: “Paxton came into the centre last week and delivered training on Net2, Paxton Entry, Paxton10 and PaxLock. We covered how to install each system, what they’re used for, and how to programme them correctly.

“It was really interesting and easy to follow, especially getting hands-on with the equipment. I learned a lot from the session and feel much more confident working with the systems now. I’d definitely recommend the training to any apprentice or Paxton installer.”

Skills for Security delivers specialist apprenticeships and training programmes designed for the fire and security sectors. Through collaboration with industry leaders like Paxton, learners gain valuable exposure to the latest access control technologies and best practice installation standards.

Mollie Evans, Marketing & Sponsorship Manager at Skills for Security, added: “We’re delighted that our platinum sponsors Paxton have renewed their partnership with us for another year.

“This ongoing partnership continues to make a huge impact. Their visits to our training centres give apprentices valuable, hands-on insight, and their generous kit donations allow learners to build confidence using real-world equipment. Alongside this, Paxton’s support at events helps spark interest from future talent and showcase the opportunities within the sector.”

As the industry continues to evolve, Paxton says it remains focused on supporting the people who will shape its future.
