People Property Places awareness campaign launches

The BSIA, working on behalf of its members and the wider industry, is launching a major national campaign that aims to increase the profile and awareness of the crucial work that security officers carry out 24/7/365 protecting people, property and places. Also, highlighting how both a career in the industry and the provision of professional security as a service carries a diverse range of benefits.

Being a security officer is a career of choice and open to anyone, from any background, ethnicity, sexuality and age group. Security officers are committed and take pride in their work and have numerous opportunities to progress in their chosen career.

Security officers don’t just ‘do a job’ for their company and clients; they are highly trained and compassionate individuals with great responsibility in keeping people, property and places professionally protected.

What is the theme?

The theme is People, Property and Places: Professionally Protected and will target the following markets:

Business to Consumer (B2C): increase the profile and awareness of the crucial work security officers do

Business to Recruitment (B2R): improve recruitment and retention by highlighting the career opportunities and benefits within the professional security sector

Business to Business (B2B): promote benefits of purchasing professional security services

How will this be carried out?

The BSIA, working with its members and the wider security industry, will run a campaign that targets the identified markets through a sustained media campaign, using case studies of existing and new projects that underline the industry’s commitment to the following:

  • Training
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Living wage
  • Reputation
  • Equality diversity & inclusion
  • Corporate social responsibility
  • Client satisfaction
  • Use of technology
  • Strengthening partnerships

The campaign(s) will be publicised across national and regional media, vertical and campaign relevant media and will be launched on 24 July 2022 in line with international Security Officer Day which promotes security officers who operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (24/7/365).
