As Bengaluru, India, prepares for the vibrant Holi festival, Safeture, in collaboration with Riskline, has released a comprehensive risk map to help residents and visitors stay safe while celebrating.

The Bengaluru Risk Map highlights potential security and traffic risks across key areas in the city, particularly in light of increased gatherings and festivities during Holi.

The festival, known for its joyous colors, music, and water play, marks the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. However, large crowds and public celebrations can sometimes lead to safety concerns, including traffic disruptions, protests, pickpocketing, and isolated incidents of violence.

Protest-Prone Zones: Locations such as Sankey Road, Freedom Park, Town Hall, and BBMP Head Office frequently witness demonstrations by activists, traders, and civil groups. If protests occur, avoid these areas; police interventions may lead to clashes.

Traffic Congestion & Animal Hazards: Roads including Avenue Road, KR Market, Kalasipalyam, and New Thippasandra Main Road often face delays due to stray cows. Accidents in these areas have been known to spark localized unrest.

Crime Hotspots: High-risk areas such as Brigade Road, Vidhana Soudha, Shivajinagar, Ulsoor, and Marathahalli have reported pickpocketing, armed robberies, and gang violence at night. Women are advised to avoid walking alone after dark in these regions.

Residential & Business Districts: HSR Layout, Koramangala, Madiwala, BTM Layout, Jayanagar, and Peenya are generally safe during the day but see increased burglary, theft, and violent crimes at night. Residents should stay vigilant, secure valuables, and avoid poorly lit areas.

The Safeture Bengaluru Risk Map aims to provide real-time safety awareness for locals and visitors alike, ensuring a secure and enjoyable Holi celebration.
