Secure Logiq has appointed Patrick Furby as Technical Support Engineer Level 2, further strengthening its global technical support capabilities as the company continues to expand its international footprint.
Furby joins Secure Logiq with an extensive background in IT support, having worked with global organisations across multiple sectors. His broad technical expertise and customer-focused approach will enhance Secure Logiq’s ability to deliver high-performance support services to partners and end users worldwide.
Originally from South Africa, he recently relocated to the UK. A passionate supporter of the Springboks, his interests extend beyond IT into the world of motorsport – a pedigree shared with Secure Logiq Joint Managing Director Hamish Johnson.
Patrick Furby played a pioneering role in the evolution of Motorsport South Africa’s timing and results infrastructure. In 1994, he led the transition from manual stopwatch-based lap timing to an RFID-based system, modernising race operations nationwide.
He went on to manage national motorsport results systems into the early 2000s, before becoming a race director and overseeing several National Series events. “It was great fun – I even had the opportunity to race a few events myself,” said Patrick. “I was also involved in developing Zimbabwe motorsport control up to 2019, so I got to travel and meet some great people along the way.”
Franck Martinaux, Director of Global Services & Innovation at Secure Logiq, welcomed the appointment: “Patrick brings the strength of experience combined with unbeatable customer-centric behaviour. He is part of the elite, and I’m proud to have him on my team.”
