Preciosa Aycocho, an office administrator working for Secure Logiq in Dubai has been awarded the Intrapreneur of the Year award at the 2024 Security & Safety Entrepreneur Awards, which took place at the recent Security Event at the NEC Birmingham.

Although Aycocho, (known as Precious), wasn’t able to attend in person, she was celebrated with a life-size cut-out brought on stage by Secure Logiq Founder Robin Hughes, who accepted the award on her behalf.

In her role as office administrator for Secure Logiq’s new Middle East office where she was employed in late 2022, Aycocho took on many tasks, demonstrating dedication, talent and tenacity in every aspect of her work. However, it is her “incredible talent” for both digital and print content which led to her nomination. “This has revolutionised and modernised our brand, and she’s taken this on in her own time and without being tasked to do so,” Hughes said.

Secure Logiq notes how Aycocho has gone above and beyond her assigned role and effectively manages the whole region, the company said. This includes organisation of a team of five, including travel arrangements over a very large and complex region and ensuring everything is ready and perfect when other members of the global team visit. She also takes care of all legal and immigration issues as well as ensuring that all insurance, licencing and other regulatory demands are dealt with in a timely manner.

She was also intrinsic in ensuring that Secure Logiq could hit the ground running in Dubai, by taking on much of the responsibility for organising the business set up. Aycocho also played the role of PR woman, organising the office opening celebrations which took place over two days and saw 80 high level guests from the region including the UK Deputy Ambassador to the UAE and press experience exactly what Secure Logiq could offer in the region.

According to Secure Logiq, the team considers that it is “hugely fortunate to have Precious on board as she has the most amazing skillset that delivers much more than is expected from her original position in the company”. Aycocho has used her design skills to create a brand-new corporate marketing material, including detailed animated logos, which have helped Secure Logiq to further strengthen its position as a high-end technology brand in the region.

It goes on to add that that “the advantage that Aycocho brings to the business is almost too much to calculate”. One of her notable achievements is establishing Secure Logiq with a distinct and remarkable identity, enabling us to compete beyond our size and engage in crucial discussions for major projects. Her drive and entrepreneurial spirit have facilitated this, allowing our technology to effectively communicate and secure deals.

Finally, Secure Logiq gave what it believes is one of the biggest reasons for her nomination for the inaugural award – the way she has managed the complexities of landing a US$2.5M order in Iraq.

While the sale was handled by another member of the team, Aycocho played an essential role in delivering the system that Secure Logiq promised. She has helped Secure Logiq to show that we can be trusted to keep our promises in the region and become a trusted partner that people are willing to recommend for large commercial and government projects across the region.

Secure Logiq Founder Robin Hughes commented: “The whole team at Secure Logiq are delighted that Precious’s incredible efforts have been recognised with this inaugural Intrapreneur award. Despite being hired as Office Administrator for the Middle East Precious encompasses every aspect of a budding entrepreneur and treats the brand and the business as her own relentlessly going above and beyond her remit, solely in the interests of Secure Logiq’s continuing success.”
