Secury360 has been awarded with the Innovative Achievement Award at the Detektor International Awards 2023, presented during an event in Stockholm on October 24. The awards ceremony took place in conjunction with the Sectech security exhibition.

The Detektor International Awards, established in 2000, stand among the most prestigious recognitions in the security industry, celebrating remarkable achievements in innovation and usability.

The winners were selected from four categories: Alarm & Detection, ID & Access Control, Video Surveillance, and IoT, by a jury comprising seven members of Detektor magazine’s editorial board, including chairman Åke Norrby and editors from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, England, and Taiwan.

In the Alarm & Detection category, the first prize was awarded to Optex from Japan and Asia for their intelligent lidar technology detector, Redscan Mini-Pro.

The Innovative Achievement Award 2023 was shared between Secury360’s S360 Box (Belgium) and Early Action from Consilium Safety (Sweden).

Secury360’s S360 Box acts as an alarm panel for existing camera systems. Cameras connected to the S360 Box are infused with AI functionality for proactive perimeter detection, video analysis, and filtering of alarm events through a cloud service, with all updates seamlessly distributed to the systems. Dealers and installers can manage everything remotely via a partner portal.

The jury’s motivation reads:

“The S360 Box makes existing security camera systems intelligent and ready for proactive surveillance and perimeter detection while filtering out false alarms. It is an impressive achievement and a powerful response to the market’s increasing demand for AI technology solutions.”

Frederick Jacobs, CEO of Secury360, was also invited to participate in a panel discussion on perimeter protection at Sectech. The emphasis was largely on remote control and updates. Installing a video surveillance system is one thing, but what happens afterward?

Many installers often need to return for calibrations and updates, which is no longer practical. With the increasing importance of cloud solutions, as seen in products like our television boxes, Tesla vehicles, and mobile phones, the convenience of having the latest product updates without appointments cannot be overstated.

The security sector currently lags in this aspect, but Secury360 is actively working to make this change. With the S360 Box, users can always have the latest updates for their security installations without the need for a technician to be on-site, saving both customers and installers valuable time.
