The Security Industry Authority (SIA) have released draft guidance on how they plan to regulate Martyn’s Law when it is expected to come into force in Spring 2027.
SIA is encouraging those premises in scope and others with an interest in the new Martyn’s Law requirements to review the draft guidance and take part in a consultation they have devised.
The consultation ends at 11:59pm UK time on 12 June and you can partake in the consultation here. The consultation represents the first opportunity for those premises in scope to engage directly with SIA about their intended approach.
This consultation is also an important opportunity for organisations to understand how the SIA intends to regulate when Martyn’s Law comes into force – expected to be in Spring 2027.
If people wish to engage, they can attend one of its webinars to talk through the draft and share the key questions it would like your views on. To register for a webinar, click here.
