The Security Event 2024 interview – VCA

VCA

VCA is a UK-based pioneer in the use of Video Analytics, and since its formation in 2009 the company has set out with a simple, three-point plan: Make it easy to use, make it cost effective and make it work! The brand now has more than 1,000,000 channels installed globally and some of the world’s leading providers in the security, retail, banking and transportation markets as partners. At this year’s The Security Event, VCA will share stands with three of its partners! In this exclusive interview with Managing Director, Kevin Waterhouse, we find out what visitors can expect.

What can visitors expect from you at the show? Why should they visit your stand?

KW: “VCA Technology will have a significant presence at this year’s TSE and visitors will have the opportunity to view our solutions and products on four separate stands!

“As a Network Optix partner we will be sharing their stand to demonstrate the advantages of our Nx embedded solutions, both on camera and on server. We are also sharing a stand with another premier partner, Secure Logiq under the headline of “The Power of Partnership”, together with other members of the Secure Logiq Intelligent integration family, we will be demonstrating how seamless end to end solutions can be delivered through the working partnership of specialist developers and manufacturers.

“Additionally, we will also have a presence on the Suprema stand, demonstrating our camera based facial recognition system and also on on the Digifort stand showcasing the benefits of our deep product integration with them.”

Can we expect any announcements from you at the show?

KW: “Visitors to the show will be able to see our latest PPE detection solution and we will be launching some new Ai trackers and detection rules as well as additions to our Forensic Search application and Ai camera lines. Our enhanced integration with Milestone Systems will also be launched at the show.”

What do you feel you are offering that sets you aside from your competitors?

KW: “Our background as an OEM developer of video analytics reflects in our collaborative approach whereby, we work closely with our distributors, integrators and technology partners to develop meaningful solutions for them and their customers. Because our Ai and ML development teams are based in the UK, we are able to adopt a more agile approach to our development roadmap, driven by our customer needs and opportunities. This is evidenced by the significant developments released during the last 12 months, primarily influenced by our customers in retail loss prevention, these releases include; Shelf Clearing, Fight Detection, Man Down and Self Check Out fraud alerts.”

What are you most looking forward to at the show?

“TSE is the highlight of our exhibition year and the anticipated volume of visitors gives us the best opportunity to engage with a vast array of existing and new customers, share ideas and demonstrate our solutions for Security, Loss Prevention, Traffic, Safety and Loss Prevention.”

The Security Event is taking place at NEC Birmingham from April 30 – May 2
