The security sector has proven its strength and vitality at this year’s highly anticipated The Security Event, which welcomed an incredible 11,231 visitors – a record-breaking number that exceeded all expectations at only it’s fourth edition.
The event was held at the NEC Birmingham from 25-27 April 2023 and showcased the latest technology and innovative solutions from 275+ world leading security manufacturers and suppliers, making it the largest and most successful event to date with an increase of 43% in exhibition footprint.
The event presented a unique chance for attendees to observe first-hand the exclusive release of new products, live demonstrations, and workshops, while also enabling them to engage and network with prominent industry figures and specialists in the field.
One of the standout moments was the triumphant debut of Professional Security Officer Live, which gave front-line security professionals a platform.
In addition, the launch of the Access Control Executive Brief Theatre, the Physical Security Zone and a range of fresh initiatives, such as The Ultimate Apprenticeship Challenge in partnership with Skills for Security, were significant achievements, demonstrating the show’s commitment to promoting the next generation of security and fire professionals.
Visitors were highly impressed by the sheer quality, volume and breadth of exhibitors, the high standard of exhibits, technology and services on display, recognising it as their best opportunity to discover the latest security solutions from the leading experts in the industry.
“We were delighted to see such overwhelming support from exhibitors, partners, and visitors, and to have the opportunity to reunite the security industry once again in Birmingham, UK,” said Tristan Norman, Group Event Director. “The electric buzz on the show floor was a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved and we received incredibly positive feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike.
“The Security Event has firmly established itself as the ‘main event’ for the security industry in the UK, and we couldn’t be more proud.”
The success of the event was reflected in the 105% onsite rebooking rate and the impressive 93% exhibitor retention rate. With next year’s event already scheduled on 30 April – 2 May 2024 and moved to the larger Hall 5, organisers are confident that The Security Event will continue to grow and exceed expectations for years to come.
The security sector can look forward to their annual event as a prime opportunity to demonstrate its ongoing growth, development, and innovation.
