Network Optix (Nx) have shared some new information on Ultinous, which provides forensic and real-time video analytics on edge and in the Cloud for real-world Health & Safety and Security applications.

Ultinous AI Video Analytics is integrated with Powered by Network Optix products via the HTTP REST API. Once setup and configured, video streams recorded in the Nx system are sent to the Ultinous edge-computing device to be analysed.

Once an event is detected, the corresponding metadata is sent to the Nx System via HTTP,  where it is stored under the associated event name. Users can designate certain Actions to be triggered in response to detected events in the Network Optix desktop client.

Part of the Ultinous AI Video Analytics Suite, U-Alarm and U-Safe are AI-based video analytic solutions designed for various security applications ranging from high-accuracy intrusion detection to personal protective equipment tracking.

U-Alarm is a perimeter security solution, designed to automate malicious event detection and notifications in an actionable fashion.

U-Safe is an AI-based video analytics solution, designed to prevent and detect occupational accidents and hazardous behaviour.

U-Alarm and U-Safe features include intrusion detection, loitering detection, zone crossing detection, crowd detection and hazardous area detection.

In addition, it can pick up PPE tracking, stopped objects, things going in the wrong direction, fall detection, privacy masks, multi-object detection, traffic counter and a multi-object counter.
