Verkada is excited to announce the 2024 Safety Champion Awards – a special event designed to honour the individuals and organisations that go above and beyond, doing the mission-critical work of keeping their organisations safe.
“Safety and security professionals are at the heart of Verkada’s mission to protect people and places in a privacy-sensitive way,” the company says. “Their tireless dedication doesn’t just inspire us, it inspires our communities and it makes us all feel safe.”
Verkada is opening up nominations through July 9, 2024 and will announce honourees at our annual user conference, VerkadaOne which takes place at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado from September 17-19, 2024, and invites U.S. security professionals to recognise and nominate leaders across the following categories:
Impact Award
The Impact Award recognises an individual who has made a positive, tangible impact on the safety and security of their organisation and/or community.
In addition to celebrating our honouree at VerkadaOne, winners will receive a $15,000 monetary gift.

Security Professional Excellence Award
The Security Professional Excellence Award recognises a Verkada customer who has demonstrated exceptional skill, innovation, and dedication in leveraging technology to enhance security measures within their organisations and/or community. This award is open to physical security professionals only.
In addition to celebrating our honoree at VerkadaOne, winners will receive a $10,000 monetary gift.

School Safety Excellence Award
The School Safety Excellence Award acknowledges schools or universities that use Verkada and have spearheaded comprehensive safety initiatives to proactively address security challenges, emergency preparedness, and student wellbeing.
In addition to celebrating our honouree at VerkadaOne, winners will receive $50,000 in Verkada products for their organisation (or an organisation of their choosing).
