TSE 2025 | Wavelynx on sustainable building and Smart Spaces

Wavelynx

Security on Screen visited Wavelynx’s stand 5 G114 at The Security Event, an access control provider whose mission is to free end-users from the constraints of proprietary access control systems. The company excels in NFC (near-field communication) wallet credentials for access control. It is committed to making access control interoperable.

Wavelynx‘s products and working methods have been illustrated at a case study in Clerkenwell, City of London. The site is The JJ Mack Building, one of London’s most sustainable office buildings whose green credentials extend to having bee colonies on the roof! The building has an EPC (energy efficiency measure) rating of ‘A’ while its BREEAM score is an outstanding 96.42%.

Working alongside the Smart Spaces® IoT (Internet of Things) platform and with readers from STid, occupiers of this versatile part stone-clad building near Smithfield Market are benefiting from secure, touchless access to authorised areas using their smartphones or smartwatches.

Physical cards, fobs, passwords and apps along with early-morning fumbling for a credentials item have been side-lined as part of the general excellence of the approach. There is also a reduction in plastic waste involved with production and renewal of cards, as well as the admin burden of card issuing.

Based in Gréasque, near Marseille, STid are renowned for readers that provide optimum encryption while being aesthetically pleasing. Here they are blending with the aesthetic envisaged by architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands.
