ASIS International is honoured to announce that Erwin Verstraelen, Vice President Innovation for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges will be the opening keynote for ASIS Europe 2026 taking place in Antwerp, Belgium on 23-25 March.
The Port of Antwerp-Bruges is an engine for the Belgian economy and the second largest port in Europe with connections to more than 800 destinations.
Erwin’s keynote will share how the port is transforming into an innovation hub where the market readiness of promising technology such as drones, smart cameras, autonomous ships, and digital twins has been field tested over the past 5 years.
Driven by the belief that in turbulent times, smart means resilient, he will share unmissable insights in this opening session that will connect innovation vision with real-world applications.
Erwin is also co-founder of the Beacon, an ecosystem focusing on Internet of Things use cases, where startups, scaleups, academia and applied research come together. He is a board member of several organizations and a well-respected keynote speaker.
