The GSX appearance marks an important step in bringing the established barox and Advancis technology partnership to the North American market.
It will also give visitors the opportunity to explore the barox portfolio of industrial grade switch, media converter, and network extender hardware solutions, as well as the wider barox ecosystem of smart plugins with leading Video Management Systems (VMS) – demonstrating the unparalleled breadth of integrations available from barox.
Turning the network into an intelligent security asset
At the heart of the demonstration will be the integration between the barox range of RY-series Ethernet switches and Advancis WinGuard. The powerful combined solution enables network and security teams to see critical network information from directly within the WinGuard platform, helping them to identify and resolve issues quickly, without relying on multiple management tools.
WinGuard can display device, switch and cable status, enabling operators to pinpoint potential network problems and investigate them through the barox network topology. Where a network device stops responding, the integration also allows an operator to select the relevant device and send a reboot command via the barox switch.
For installers, integrators and system operators, this means faster fault diagnosis, reduced downtime and greater operational efficiency – particularly in environments where reliable video security infrastructure is critical. This functionality helps to minimise unnecessary site visits, reduce support costs and maximise network uptime.
The demonstration will highlight applications relevant to high-security environments, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), utilities, data centres and education, where the availability and performance of IP video networks are fundamental to effective security operations.
