Dubai Police ICFS receives Zayed University student delegation

The International Centre for Forensic Science (ICFS) at Dubai Police recently hosted a delegation of female students from Zayed University.

The visit aimed to familiarise the students with the various scientific specialisations within the  General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology subdivisions and sections and demonstrate how each supports police and security operations.

Major Mohammed Ahmad Al Muhairi, Acting Director of ICFS, and Major Nawaf Ahmad Al Mansoori, Head of the Accreditation and Competencies Section, met with the students and faculty members and briefed them on the Department’s work, highlighting its critical role within the Criminal Investigation Sector of Dubai Police, especially in supporting criminal investigations and cases with solid scientific evidence.

The students were also introduced to the latest technologies used at the Department and received explanations about the various tasks of the sub-departments and sections.

They also learned about the comprehensive display of best practices and standards adopted in specialised forensic evidence, special projects, and the most prominent research and scientific publications contributing to knowledge share.

The students appreciated the opportunity to explore the field of criminal psychology and profiling closely, which directly relates to their psychology major. They further thanked Dubai Police for its unwavering support of the student community.
