At the COP28 climate conference held in Dubai this year, Dubai Police launched its annual sustainability report, reinforcing its position as a worldwide leader in advanced law enforcement.

The force has received over 160 local and international awards and seven global sustainability certificates, and its annual sustainability report provides a comprehensive view of the Dubai Police’s sustainable initiatives, focusing on technological advancements and promoting social well-being.

The report adheres to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) principles for corporate social responsibility. It consists of five chapters, each highlighting different areas of focus.

Its first chapter highlights Dubai Police‘s efforts in utilizing technology to enhance community resilience, while the second chapter delves into the Force’s role in promoting well-being and peacebuilding. Additionally, the third chapter underscores the significance of environmental conservation and Dubai Police’s continuous endeavours to achieve a zero-carbon police force.

Furthermore, the fourth chapter of the report focuses on talent empowerment and the pursuit of equality and inclusivity as fundamental pillars for constructing a sustainable future, the Police force said in a statement. It also is said to shed light on the role of the economy in police operations as a catalyst in achieving sustainable security development and striking a comprehensive balance among environmental, economic, and social dimensions.
