Gallagher Security’s Controller 7000 Single Door (C7000 SD) has been awarded Gold in the Access Control category in Security Today’s New Product of the Year awards. This is Gallagher’s 6th win at the New Product of the Year awards and the first for the C7000 SD. Gallagher Security will also be at booth 4433 at GSX this year and invites attendees to “kick back and join the team for Happy Hour” on September 12 from 3:30-4:30.

According to Gallagher Security, the Controller 7000 Single Door (C7000 SD) is a powerful and flexible access control solution designed for ease of installation and maintenance. Its Power over Ethernet (PoE) variants eliminate the need for power supplies, batteries, and long cable runs, enabling it to sit discretely on the wall above the door or in the ceiling space. The controller supports PoE+ and PoE standards, making it capable of powering associated door locks and readers directly, while also allowing monitoring of all door-related sensors.

The C7000 SD was designed to offer the highest level of protection against cyber threats to networked devices, with a secure element installed on each controller providing dedicated hardware protection of cryptographic keys. It uses the NXP iMX8 microchip, designed with cybersecurity at its heart, and implements a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) based on the ARM Platform Security Architecture to ensure the code running on the controller is genuine and has not been tampered with.

Scott Elliott, Executive Vice President – the Americas, sees this win as confirmation of Gallagher’s commitment to cybersecurity and flexible access control options. “I believe that no one sets a higher standard than Gallagher Security, and the C7000 SD illustrates our dedication to that principle. This controller was designed to give our customers a cost-effective option with extensive functionality and next-level cybersecurity while maintaining a pleasing and discrete aesthetic. I’m thrilled that Security Today has recognized the C7000 SD’s impressive power and hope those attending GSX will stop by our booth to see it in action.”
