The Special Anti-Terrorism Unit of Serbia ‘SAJ’ confirmed their participation in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 stating that the challenge enhances the military and police capabilities of tactical teams and special units while competing against top specialized units from around the globe. They emphasised that participating in the UAE SWAT Challenge has become a significant event for the specialised teams involved.

The SAJ team remarked, “The competition in this event is incredibly intense, and it’s a great honour and joy for us to participate. We assess our capabilities against the best units in the world, and the competition has become more challenging.”

They noted that their preparations for this challenge are rigorous and occur daily, encompassing psychological and physical readiness, shooting drills, and a focus on team coordination and individual adaptation within the group. “Participating in this competition is extremely beneficial, as it enhances both physical and mental fitness during the preparation phase and throughout the competition. It also allows us to practice tactical procedures that can be applied in our work and real-life situations,” SAJ continued. 

The Team highlighted that they have made significant changes to their preparations this year compared to previous participations, with an increased emphasis on fine details and point accumulation. They stated that each year in this competition tells a challenging story, bringing valuable experience.

The SAJ Team further explained that the key qualities for a rapid intervention unit to handle high-risk operations effectively include the necessary knowledge and skills and the ability to find solutions to complete the mission. “Each team member must understand their role and be both physically and mentally prepared,” SAJ said.
