Safeture is excited to share an update that simplifies how alerts are published for administrative regions and territories, improving clarity and reducing extra work for its partners.
The company has individual country cards for some administrative regions or territories within larger countries. These include regions like New Caledonia for France, Hong Kong SAR or Macau SAR for China, and Puerto Rico for the USA. Each of these territories is now treated as a unique subregion, complete with its own ISO code.
Previously, alerts for these territories were associated with both the main country and the subregion. This setup often created confusion, as alerts were visible under the main country even when they were specific to the territory itself.
With this update:
- Alerts for territories/administrative regions will only be listed under the specific region’s country card (e.g., New Caledonia alerts will appear solely under New Caledonia, not under France).
- This ensures each alert is focused and reduces redundant information, simplifying the monitoring process for you and your teams.
This improvement brings greater clarity and reduces the time spent filtering through alerts. With territory-specific alerts streamlined under their designated ISO-coded region, you can be assured of quicker, more accurate information on relevant events.
Safeture says it hopes this update enhances your experience and improves your efficiency, adding that customers should not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or feedback.
Enhanced Pre-Trip Email System with Smart Cooldown Control
Safeture is also pleased to announce an improvement to its pre-trip email system designed to minimise redundant messages while ensuring travellers are kept informed of any significant changes in destination risk levels.
Background
Previously, travellers could receive multiple pre-trip emails for the same country within a short timeframe, sometimes containing identical information.
To streamline communication and ensure each message delivers valuable updates, we have now introduced a cooldown period for pre-trip emails.
What’s new?
With this update, our pre-trip email system will now:
- Apply a 30-Day Cooldown Period
- Pre-trip emails will not be sent to travelers for the same country more than once within a set period of 30 days. This period is based on whether the destination has appeared in a previous pre-trip email sent to the traveler within the last 30 days.
Override Cooldown if Risk Levels Change
If there is a change in the risk level of a destination country, the system will override the cooldown and immediately send an updated pre-trip email. This ensures that travellers are always informed of critical updates impacting their safety and travel plans.
This update helps reduce email clutter and ensures that travellers receive timely, relevant information. With fewer duplicate messages, customers can look forward to higher engagement and reduced risk of messages being flagged as spam, Safeture says.
